Jessica Jones and addiction

I'm trying to finish a more general Jessica Jones post, but my patience has snapped. I have now read two separate articles on Jessica Jones and addiction that don't mention that the protagonist is an alcoholic and that make the same strained argument that Kilgrave is addicted to his powers. People, male privilege is not an addiction

This is such a complex show. Netflix aka whoever's running the show is doing a good job with it.

You've put into words things I was barely thinking. Mostly, I was at the "show good" stage, rather than having the mental wherewithal to write meta.
