I wouldn't mind a cat. The two I used to have that are now with my parents are set in their ways and not very baby friendly, though. And then there's the litter box.
I really, really hope that we don't get mice this year. Really, really hope. I've never lived with mice before and it freaks me out to think that they might be able to get in.
The Pest guy put in the traps, and I don't think they use glue. Seems to be a only-one-way-in sort with poison. When we had our post-move-in inspection, the inspector casually said "yeah, everyone around here has ants in the summer and mice in the winter", so at least it wasn't a total surprise. We wouldn't have know about them except for the rustling in a basement wall, haven't seen a single sign of them yet..
