If the rash sticks around--or gets bigger, etcetc, you should go by the infirmary. Bulls eye rashes are a likely indicator of Lyme disease.

I react similarly to spider bites. The physical part, I mean. Brown Recluses are relatively common in Washington too. It's annoying that humans can die from bites by animals that are so much smaller than us.

brown recluse spiders are the most dangerous ones in the US, but only live in a particular area (not near you - http://ohioline.osu.edu/hyg-fact/2000/2061.html). And only 10% of their bites cause any kind tissue damage. Also, there are no deadly spiders in the US (except black widows, who mostly can only kill cats). So, unless you move to Africa, you're ok. But that lime disease advice is some good.
