considering how much americans like to change traditions and create new ones, i don't see why not. christmas was created by a bunch of rich new yorkers in the mid 1800s to deal with the poor, warping two legend characters into one (saint nicholas and sinter claus). maybe it's time for a change ;)

my father has proposed for years we celebrate on Epiphany. his was motivated more by post-christmas sales, but years ago they were post-christmas, not pre.
i wouldn't mind things being postponed 12 days, i am not ready. i also refuse to do anything christmas-related until the day after thanksgiving, it's getting harder and harder to shop places that don't have christmas stuff up before halloween.
