New Year's Revolution

I have decided to eschew store-bought baked goods (specifically cookies) in favor of making my own. The only exceptions to this are the delicious creations from the Baltimore Cupcake Company.

That's a fantastic resolution & largely how I try to live. Few exceptions: hamburger buns, sliced bread (mine gets stale fast), bagels, donuts. Mostly I think about it when I walk down the cookie aisle.

Also, Berger cookies are okay to buy.

That's a great exception! I agree with that plan.

Yeah, I'm not quite up to that Chefery level where i can make my own breads yet. That, and if we were to have breads rising for hours, the mice would probably jump in them.

Try this. You can experiment a lot with it. I've done it twice, no problem, basically following the directions with a few fudges.

What about if you're not in b'more and need cupcakes?
Also- go regina spektor! I got introduced to her song Samson a week and a bit ago, and have cranked out a fucktastic lot of listens to it in that brief time.
