She leaves her computer reluctantly, no amount of refreshing will make an email from Mulder appear. Dana hides a yawn behind her hand as she opens the door. It's barely past six, but she gets tired faster than she once did.

"Will," she says in surprise. "What are you doing here?"

"Walking the guys," Will points down at the dogs. "Thought maybe I'd drag you out to join me. They're totally safe. Remember Dana?" he asks the dogs.

Both of them trot forward to sniff her ankles. "Thought you might like the company."

"Sure," she crouches down and lets the dogs get a good sniff. "Sure," Dana repeats, looking around her empty apartment. She can't put Mulder's things away. Seeing them around reminds her of him, and it's been a week since he managed to sneak her an email. "Let me find my coat."

She eventually finds it on the back of a chair and pulls it on. "You look well."

"Thanks," he says with a playful smile. Her belly's started to extend a little further each time he sees her and the buttons of her coat don't quite close past her chest. "You look great." He offers her one of the leads, Leia and is relieved when she takes it. Her eyes look haunted, but her smile is genuine.

"Greater perhaps," she teases him and follows him out into the night. It's cool, but dry for once and listening to his footsteps is comforting.

"Do you want me to talk to about Mulder?" she asks softly when the silence has dragged on for awhile.
