Interesting. Near the end of the article, the author comments on the photograph of a projection of a home computer in 2004. My instructor this semester showed us that very same photograph, though he claimed that a friend of his went to a library that had Popular Mechanics magazines in physical form -- as opposed to microfiche -- and scanned in that photograph from one of their 1954 editions. I should show him this article next time I'm at class.

Too funny...wonder if he'd mention it in class if you slipped the Snopes article where they discuss the 1954 Computer of the Future under his office door. ;-)
