Have they given you any fundraising ideas? One of the more effective things we found that worked for TTES was setting up a table at a Krogers, having informational material to give out (the ASA has these pamphlets that show the warning signs of stroke, that sort of thing), and take donations for the cause. You just have to call around to the Krogers in the area to see who has a Saturday open (a lot of times they let the girl scouts and boy scouts do similar things, so it's best to do it on a weekend they dont' have something else going on). Works best as a team of 2 people though (so you can keep an eye on your table, and take turns approaching people, and spot each other for potty breaks). My sister and I sent out e-mails to people that had known our mom, and got a lot of donations that way (writing up a personal letter that shows what working for this charity means to you personally insteald of the canned letter helps, too).

I'm broke until I get paid Friday - expect that number to move at least a *little* then. :D
