Seriously, though, I am deriving great joy from Ebert's review of the new Transformer's movie. It is a thing of unadulterated hilarity. It's difficult to discern which is my favorite part, but it might be this:

Didn't he watch the first Transformers in which they say they learned English from the interwebz? So if we go off of that, it makes sense that various accents and styles of speech could be picked up. Nice try, Ebert.

Or maybe I just really enjoyed both movies because how could I not love giant alien robots fighting, and so I'll throw out ridiculous logic to try to cover the plot holes. :D

I love Transformers. The cartoon series from my childhood. I love giant alien robots fighting. Even if, as far as animation goes, it was kind of terrible. I can look at it through nostalgia and adore it, regardless ( ... )

I'm totally not a movie person, so I don't know if I could even name something else Michael Bay has done. Transformers definitely had a lot of flaws--I just can't help loving it anyway. I get the complaints about it, and there's stuff I would change/improve. It's just giant robots. And Optimus Prime. I can't resist.

At least I can always go watch the cartoons too. :D
