In fact, because I'm a dork like this, maybe we SHOULD check on who's been good this year.

Ruh-roh. Looks like some kids have been bad this year [and some are questionable]! In particular, one certain Kaito Daiki! Looks like Diend's not getting any presents this year.
Psh, well, Daiki's not having any of that. Why should other people get stuff when he's not? There's only one solution to this.
It's only appropriate, really.
