thanks. this is one of those choices I hate to make and is breaking my heart. What makes it even worse is that Dylan loves the cats.

yep Q really is 13, but that was 'beaner you put in your coat. so, still that was 9 years ago.

Hey there. I don't know your circumstances and don't want to butt in, but being an animal-loving CFer I thought I'd comment! Pets are not necessarily bad for kids with CF, unless they have specific allergies to them. I grew up with dogs, cats, birds, hermit crabs... and had no problems. So if there are no allergies I'd say there's no reason to get rid of your feline friends!

Unfortunately, Dylan seems to be developing her dad's allergy to the cats. She is much more sneezy and stuffed up when they are around. Now that there are two of them in the house with allergies, we really can't keep them.
