For New Year's Eve, I got off work early and then headed downtown to meet my new friend D-E at a coffeeshop downtown. We had a nice visit but the coffeeshop was scheduled to close at 6 p.m. for the holiday, so we had to cut our visit short and made plans to get together again soon. I then joined ( Read more... )

Yeah, I was on the roof taking down Christmas lights (it was actually pretty dry up there) - I find it easier to get on the roof to add/remove the lights than to try and get my step-ladder precariously perched in the planter under the front window eaves!

D-E is a bud I met on Facebook...nice guy...we'll see what happens but my initial instinct is "just friends."

D-E and I are planning to get together for din-din on Sunday so we can "scope the vibe" some more. Another Facebook friend, Tim and I are planning to meet in SF NEXT Sunday (11th)...he's my age and seems REALLY nice (and cute). He lives in the city but doesn't have a car (which may be an issue). Oh well, we'll see how it goes!
