Old Fic

Over a year ago I had this bright notion of writing a Sarkney fic that was loosely based on the definition of a palindrome. The problem is, I discovered, it’s really hard to get something to read the same backward and forward.  Well, I tried again last night to make it right and came up with what is below. It’s a lot shorter than I had planned and ( Read more... )

WOW.
Sarkney fic from you is ALWAYS appreciated.
I'm sure that this was very difficult for you to get done, but you were very successful! I didn't feel like I was moving forward then backward, but rather like I was bouncing between two points, but always moving forward.
Does that make any sense?
Well, anyway, fantastic job, love the ambiguousness of it all (it lets my imagination run wild). Thanks so much for sharing.

As for the font, try customizing your settings under "font", the preset size might not be the best for the font you're using.

cheers.

Makes sense! It's a bit rushed in the middle, but it feels good to just have completed something.

Thanks for the font tip. I was having problems trying to fix it with my computer at home but I seem to have fixed it sort of at work!

Thanks again.

I actually went back to re-read it (I'm loving it more an more every second because it's helping me get through the longest day of work EVER), and liked the subtleties that I hadn't noticed the first time. I like how the actions or scenes aren't exactly the same (or simply a reprisal of events from different POVs), but the sentiments and thoughts are ultimately the same while they're completely different.
my awe of your abilities is also growing because to accomplish something like this is hair-pullingly (is that a word? [/GrammarNazi]) hard when you try and infinitely improbable to stumble upon accidentally.

what i mean is, props to you.

oh, and I'm glad the font thing worked out.
cheers.

Good! I was trying hard to make it read like a palindrome, not technically be a palindrome.

And it was hair-pullingly long, as you put it. I really never ever thought I would finish something let alone post it. Will probably not every try again. Probably.
