Great Erdrejan Nightmare

May 23, 2007 12:54

So I'm gently turning to face the nightmare ahead.  By which I mean an interminable queue ending in a nebulous system.  Does anyone know how the hideous thing actually works?  I made the big mistake of buying some OSPs last thing at the Gathering (should have known better, really) and I have absolutely no idea how my particular condition(s) will be ( Read more... )

*apparently* most of the plastic will have been converted to the new system already, and only the awkward squad with non-standard wordings/skills/etc... (for V3) will have hassle. From what I understand, we all have to queue up as punishment for being Vipers bad guys not Lions.
When are you getting to site? Ben, Leon, Declan and I will all be around from thursday onwards, so we can all stress together :-)
And drink tea.
You do drink tea, don't you?

I'm not going to get there until late Friday, sadly, but it means that a lot of people will hopefully have gotten their horror out of the way.

No idea when I'll be getting there. Late, I suspect, since we'll be heading off after work. I haven't prebooked or anything, though, so I suspect that very little (if anything) will have been done for me. It totally drink tea... and port, I definitely drink port.

It'll be like an injection at the doctor's - a brief pain in the arse, with long term benefits. Honestly, it's just a bit of piddling about in order to completely overhaul a system of over 4,000 players. There'll be plenty of people to keep you company, mate. Think of it as a way to meet new and exciting people on the first night... all in a neat row. ;)
