I think I may have found someone who fits all of this. Someone who fits everything that I need and want in a person. I just need to stop being a coward about it and act, but we're the best of friends and I'm too scared to lose that.

Me too! I've found that person too, but like your situation, we are becoming better friends by the day.

It's a scary thing... taking that step from best of friends to something more. Do you know if he feels the same way?

He must be willing to take responsibility for his actions and do the right thing, no matter the cost.

I'll probably think of more as the day goes by... but so far, this guy has shown me that he has or will meet my list of "Must have's".

I think he might. He held my hand when we last saw each other in person, but we were both a little drunk, so... I don't know. He certainly makes an effort to talk to me everyday, any way he can. He's on vacation in Jamaica, where there's admittedly little cellphone reception, but I've already gotten three text messages from him (he left Wednesday) about how much fun he's having and how much fun I'd have if I were there, and wishing me good luck on my algebra test. We're going to Italy together next year. He bought me a plane ticket to Chicago (where he lives), so that I can go with him (be his date?) to the Marines Corps Birthday Ball. It FEELS like something, but I'm nervous, I guess. Scared that I'm reading too much into it.

I thought about this when I was taking a shower just now, and I mentally added just that - he must be willing to take responsibility for his actions. I want someone honorable. Josh fits all of this.

Hey! Great minds think alike! ;) Kevin, the guy I am all ga-ga for, sounds a lot like Josh. I'm not sure what is going on between us... we've had some REALLY rough patches in the past 2 years, but I finally pulled my head out of my rear and now he is the one calling me nearly every night and talking for 3-4 hours at a time while we work. (We both do the same job, driving approx 500 miles each night) He's the one that started sitting with me at Church... and he's the one that has invited me over to his house for the past 3 weekends in a row.

I want so badly to just tackle him and kiss him senseless! *WAIL*

Wow, that's a pretty cool list. :-) I'd been thinking of doing something similar, putting together some sort of a list of "requirements" or what I'm looking for in someone, both to clarify for myself what I want and what I need and to prevent me from being arbitrary and not recognizing what I'm looking for if I see it.

I think you've got a pretty reasonable/fair list of things here... though you may not get the milky/pale skin if he works outside a lot. The sun doesn't play games with us pasty people! ;-)
