Oh I've done plenty of research.

I've only got one thing to say. No poor man ever, EVER gave me a job. Tax the rich and they just might leave the country... then what?

Well, I deleted my original comment - it sounded a little too mean, and that wasn't my intention. I apologize.

I understand that of course a poor man couldn't give you a job, the logistics of that speak for themselves. But I don't understand how the rich actually avoid paying taxes. Did you know that Donald Trump doesn't pay a penny of taxes? His tax advisors "write off" his "losses" to the extent that he ends up not having to pay anything. That's true of most multi-millionaires and billionaires.

Yes, Obama wants to raise taxes - for those who make a quarter of a million dollars a year or more - ONLY! Under the economic plan proposed by Sen. Obama, people earning more than $250,000 a year would pay more in taxes than they do now, while those earning less-the majority of American taxpayers-would receive a tax reduction. And I think that is not only fair, but commendable and necessary.

And if the taxed rich leave the country, then good riddance - it would only prove how greedy they truly are.
