So I'm thinking between the finicky power connector, busted keyboard and bad CCFL's it may be time to retire my laptop to desktop status.  I'm thinking either a netbook or a cheap tablet to replace the thing, whats your favorite brand?

i love my Eee because it weighs almost nothing, is tiny, was very affordable and the battery lasts a lot longer than any other laptop i've used. on the other hand it has almost no hard drive space (though there are a bunch of higher end Eees, i think). i only use it for the internet and i drag it everywhere so it works great for me but ymmv depending what you want to use it for. also many of them have smaller than standard keyboards, which takes adjusting.
