*Curls a lip in disgust*

Gul Darhe'el was a vile beast trust me when that filth died there was not many who missed his passing. A complete disgrace to the Union to put it mildly. Think what you may of my people, even the worst of us had little to no respect for him.

Oh really? Dukat said that he was a hero, and that half the officials on Cardassia had attended his funeral; that was how he convinced me that the men we were detaining, Eamon Marritza, who had been surgically altered to look like Darhe'el, could not have been the Gul. It did not surprise me that Dukat admired the Butcher of Gallitep, though of course he denied that the atrocities ever took place.

*looks at Kira oddly*

He did? He complained about him as much as anyone else. I'm not sure if he complained because Gul Darhe'el had a more renowned title then he did of if he actually felt that way. Or then again knowing him he was proberbly exagerating his fondness of the man as a means of getting under your skin.

But he was correct about the rather large funeral procession. As tradition when there is a state funeral most commanders of the Union are expected to attend. It's more of a cultural thing rather then a personal respect for the man.

Eamon Marritza, who had been surgically altered to look like Darhe'el, could not have been the Gul.I remember hearing about him he was a bookkeeper for Gul Dahe'el. I also heard that he was hoping to be executed for his crimes? I thought that might have been just a rumor. I don't know what he had hoped to accomplish by doing ( ... )
