I've been nominated for a NATIONAL NEWSPAPER AWARD!!! My Marfan story was a finalist for the long feature category. I'm up against Ian Brown of the Globe and Mail (a story on religion and its impact on people and politics) and Louise Leduc of the Montreal La Presse (for a story on immigrant minimum wage workers). I'm super excited as is everyone

Wow wow wow! Your up against FAMOUS PEOPLE! That story is amazing, though, so you might just be the dark horse! Plus a trip to Halifax! All so exciting!

I am realizing that there is the possiblity I could win. I reread the story and you know what I'm so proud of it. Even if I don't win losing to Ian Brown is hardly something to be shy about. And also a chance to come see YOU.
