What a -charming- story! I feel inspired. ::Cackle:: No, seriously, it's one of those quaint little narratives that so often serves as the intro to a romantic commedy. Much heckling and hubbub ensue, and then the [nearly] happily ever after. I like it. Can I keep it? My precious?

hey fos i have a question. when you travel to the states you just buy the ticket and show up at narita with your military ID and leave papers and you don't need anything else right?
becasue i know you don't need a passport to go home but i just want to make sure that i don't forget to bring something that i need to pass through customs or something.
i need details so please try not to leave anything out. i haven't gone back to the states since i've been here, so i want to get it right and get home hassle free.

First of all, save everything you get from your travel agency. Even the most mundane thing might be important when you get to the airport. Just put it all in the blue folder you have your leave paperwork routed in. The only military paperwork you'll need is your military id and your leave paperwork. Your leave papers count as your 'orders' and when you show them your military id as a passport all they will want to see is your leave papers ( ... )
