I'd like to remind all my biology students that we'll be doing dissections tomorrow, so please arrive on time and ready to begin. Make sure you have your lab report forms with you, and wear something you wouldn't mind getting dirty, just in case.

Not exactly. I wouldn't want to miss the practical experience, but you implied the paper is more challenging. I could do both and submit only one for credit if you preferred.
