So how long does someone have to be missing from the City before you start wondering if they're not coming back?

I don't want to jump the gun and move out on my roommate, but the ticking's kind of a pain, you know?

[ooc; sob wanted this up, replies may be sporadic/delayed >< /destroys responsibilities weeep]

too lazy for wittier tags, cautious social reconnaissance, no curse

Is it that bothersome?

Not at first, but the longer you go the more irksome it gets.

You may come to the garage, if you like.

I guess you can start wondering right away. When you hit a few months, though, I think it's time to move on.

If you want to use one of the beds at the Welcome Center, that's totally okay. You know, if you don't want to assume your roomie's gone. There's always someone around, so the ticking's not bad.

From everything he's said coming and going isn't exactly unusual for him, but it's been a while so I'm starting to wonder if he'll be back again.

I'll keep it in mind, Penny.

Really? I didn't know anyone came and went that often.

Thanks. Going crazy from the ticking isn't allowed.

I don't know about often, but he's been here a long while. From everything I've heard...

I don't appreciate the City's attempts to keep people from living alone, but I do appreciate having options. Really.

It's different for everyone. You decide for yourself.

And if they come back, sometimes they don't even remember, so you should factor that in too.

So I've heard. I guess it's impossible to be sure of anything, here.

That's the only certainty, yeah.

Are you looking to relocate or to get someone who will move in where you already are?

Do whatever you wish.

I'm not sure that qualifies as advice.

Is "Put everything into storage and move" more to your liking?

It's decisive, at least. You don't think it's worth waiting?
