Apologies for the error, it's fixed now. I honestly didn't even think about it when I wrote that line, but I DO love his eyes so consider this an airhead moment.

No continuation, unfortunately. I'm pretty resolved on this one, I got the scene!muse out of my head and I can't see myself continuing the underlying theme I've got here.

That doesn't rule out other muses, however! ;)

This is the first story I've read that makes me buy this pairing. I don't think they're out of character at all - your Rush is a man who has had a very (mostly) happy marriage and who understands that it's not large romantic gestures, but the small little details that are important. Your TJ is strong enough to put everyone else's well being ahead of her own and take on too much responsibility to cover her own fears, but does not let those fears consume her. Even the distance between TJ an Young is right. Just all around lovely.

Neither character is OOC. In fact this is so amazingly in character with the series that it makes the progression of their relationship feel totally organic and like it could fit into the cannon. Their dialogue is completely phenomenal, it just blows me away how you nailed both of their voices. I'm especially thrilled with how you handled TJ's take on Young and her despair about the baby. Your use of other characters like Scott and Chloe, even the throwaway scene with the other science geeks, just amazing. Frankly this is the best SGU fic as far as my memory goes, maybe even the best I've read in the entire Stargate fandom. It kind of tempts me to get back to the series, do some rewatching and prod my own bunnies, so thank you so much for sharing it.

This certainly made this a believable relationship for me, not sure I've seen a lot of other TJ/Rush stories that did that. I could see Rush realizing it's the things that make a relationship work. Seemed like it was those little that he was upset at himself for not doing before his wife's death. TJ has a quiet and easy enough manner that it would make a good matching with Rush as you set it up here.
