I used to be the kind of person that never listened to anyone that tried to spread "the truth" because I thought they were all crazy and look too far into things; I guess you can say I was one of the ignorant people that trapped themselves in a bubble. But really, can you blame those people? People have a tendency to only believe things they can see. If you come to them with things that were kept hidden, you better make sure you have solid proof

You are exactly right.
See ok, i'm only 14, and currently im going to this private school where everyone is, well your stereotypical type of redneck.
And I don't want to make that sound rude, but most of them are homophobic and put me down for my beliefs.
Im open to every opinion even though im secure in my own. I won't judge someone just because they disagree with me, but these people will.
So of course the libertarian vegan whose for gay rights isn't going to win every debate in science class. I see sometimes that I really pose an argument or put an idea in their head that they kinda agree with, but they'd never admit it. Simply because they know others in their life (parents, friends, peers, etc.) wouldn't approve, and their scared. Stuff like that really makes me sad.
So I long for the day when I finally go to college and have a conversation with someone who doesn't think im going to hell.
Im not judgmental like some vegans though, Haha. I've known quite a few like that.... -shivers-
