Of course this can't be Epic he's talking about. Not only does his story here not add up (the very notion of being so suddenly "greenlighted" by a major publisher from an online proposal is absurd... gotta work on that suspension of disbelief, Reeves ol' boy), but I asked, and the folks at Epic don't even know who he is.
