Path 32-bis, the second half of the path of Tau (The Cross, ) is noted in Liber 777. Its listed correspondences are *all* Trumps of the Tarot and the Element of Spirit.

Wesley,

Thanks for the tidying-when I orginally composed this entry, I had been working on multiple projects, sleep-deprived, and was going all cross-eyed. I might have stayed confused had you not pointed that out.

Also, I didn't come up with the idea that 31-bis and 32-bis were bisected paths; I got that impression from the descriptions and associations listed in Liber 777, Thelemapedia, and skimming the Chicken Kabbalah.

I asked about the path of Qoph because I wondered what would be interpreted as bisecting the paths of Tau and Shin that did not bisect the path of Qoph also.

As for personal experiences, I can write my own story once I know the language, and I'm just trying to learn the syntax first. :D

I agree with Wesley that 31bis and 32bis are not exactly "bisected" paths. Rather, there are two distinct sets of correspondences you can make with them.

Because Malkuth represents the material world, you could say that Qoph, Shin, and Tau all have something to do with the apparent separation between our material and spiritual selves. These paths serve a dual purpose. Misunderstood, they are the things that keep us from spiritual growth. If we embrace them, they are the first steps on our spiritual journey.

Your analysis of the degraded mother and daughter sounds too overtly Freudian. Where are you going with that line of reasoning?

My reasoning started with the first misconception that 31bis and 32bis were bisected paths and it had more to do with the paths than anything else. I think I was trying to make the path of Qoph mirror the path of Shin, even though I realize (after taking a break) it might not.

Also, I started wondering why only two subpaths are noted. Especially if all/three paths serve a dual purpose.

I knew I was getting myself stuck on this point, so I stopped here and decided to ask for help...which I appreciate, btw.
