So, I might have a date soon and an S.O. before Valentine's day...but I'm trying to be cautiously excited so as not to be disappointed if it all goes south

Depends--have you had lot's of disapointments when the advertising said six inches plus, and then deliver 3 1/2?

Nah. I just assume all men lie about the size, kinda the inverse of the way some women lie about their weight. I haven't been 170# since I was fifteen, but I'll be damned if I'm ever changing my driver's license to reflect that (unless I get below that weight, in which case, I'll change it immediately).
