Screaming until my ears bled would not, at this moment, convey the amount of sheer frustration I feel. Among other bullshit going on at home, I just started up Firefox Portable only to find that the bug-riddled version auto-installed itself (depsite my best efforts to avoid that happening *again*) and wiped out every bookmark, every page saved with ( Read more... )

dont know bout firefox portable but regular firefox makes backups of bookmarks in a hidden folder on your profile. do some digging and you may get lucky.

Thanks, but I use the portable version on my flash drive for privacy; I share the computer with my dad and he's as paranoid as I am-he'd likely snoop through my files/browsing history every chance he got if I didn't physically remove them from the computer every time I got up. I agree that Firefox Home Edition looks handy though; I might see if my dad would make the switch, if only for his benefit. He's not much on change, but its features could be useful for him.

I've grown board with the question "if a tree falls in the woods, and no one is around to hear it...." Now I'm asking. "if a tree falls in the woods, on top of a woodnymph, and no one is around to save her, can she be barbequed? See--I do read your page. OH--I know the answer to your tree of life question, but the secret chiefs of the Argentum Astrum swore me to secrecy. OK, not really. I lied.
