Last night, following a grimly long stint at the statistical coalface, I eschewed my recent healthy living kick and treated myself to a giant burger from Gourmet Burger Kitchen. Could have bought them some Davidoff and thereby helped another friend through a ridiculous exercise in capitalist consumerism. :)

I liked the post, but must admit that I occasionally enjoy a smoke. I'm fortunate I suppose that I can take it or leave it as I wish. I used to deal with beggars everyday as well and would typically spare a coin when I had one. Unfortunately I am banished to the netherworld and no longer encounter signs of cosmopolitan life.
