This stupid fucking icon-making trend (aka, what n00bz do) of just fucking setting a manga image on multiply over a texture and calling it "art" or a "good icon". Am I the only one who thinks that's a problem? It really pisses me off. I feel bad when I do things like that in public places, especially if the makers can see them. I still have some sense of puty & dignity.

It's such an ugly icon!!! It makes me real sad. How could anyone ever find it appealing?

Number two isn't that bad. I just don't think the texture goes with the image. He clearly isn't blue

Ugly icons is supposed to be locked, and I always check to make sure the maker is not joined to it. ^_~

This is the reason I don't make icons, though not in the way that's expected of someone posting on here, ffff.

I'm not at all good at making anything artistic, because I don't really have an eye for this sort of thing. Seeing icons like this makes me think too much on how ugly my icons must look to other people, even if I don't use textures much, if at all. OTL

BUT NUMBER EIGHT MAKES EVEN ME CRINGE.

And I kind of like 1, to be honest. But maybe it's because I'm fond of the colors, idk.

I think that if you have some sense of what's appealing, it isn't bad, but there's a limit. I make icons all the time, and I don't think I'm that great at it, but I know what is and is not ugly.

NUMBER EIGHT IS HIDEOUS! IT MAKES ME WANT TO CRY!

Number one isn't that bad, but it clearly isn't an icon you submit it to LIMS. A LIMS is a challenge and clearly it wasn't challenging making that icon.
