half drunken ramblings that are largely irrelevant

The smallest event can have huge impact... who's to say what's trivial. If it affects you, it affects you.

A question for SoberAndy: Do you still think that your past should be irrelevant to your life?

Tell me about the YAR position. What's the commitment level? I know a couple activists who might be interested.

The YAR position will be basically doing all the main organizing for the retreat, like contacting facilitators, and doing logistic stuff. The main bulk for it right now will be writing grant proposals and trying to get funding.

tell people to get back to me if they are interested.

and i miss you and hope you figure things out. heres her post:
"my band is doing a cross canada tour and wants to do a show or two in winnipeg. we're kind of a punk band. do you know of any venues, houses, or halls to play? Also, what good music is there out there? Do you know of any good bands to try to play with because I find it really difficult to find any bands that don't live in Toronto or Montreal. If you could help me, that'd be so very kind.

My email is moderncreatures@hotmail.com"

hey dude.

don't feel bad about it. we all do it. i think its a product of trying to apply logic to emotional issues. logic and emotions exist on very different levels, i think. logically i can see the sense in the idea that we exist seperately from our pasts, and that the past only exists in physical scars and in stories. but emotionally we are definitely changes as a result of everything that happens to us.

perhaps fort garry dark leads you to tap into the logical part of your brain as a way to deal/cope with the emotional.

i'm off to catch a bus now. i've been on the web for over an hour and this comment is the only meaningful thing that i've done. curse my internet addiction!
