Thank you! :D This one was giving me so much trouble because I was absolutely certain that somewhere, Robert and Saito were out of character, but I just couldn't put my finger on it.

Theoretically, I can understand the potential for the insanity thing to come about, but I don't quite buy that. (Okay fine, I just don't want insane!Fischer!) But I think it's a lot of extremes as well. That for Mal, for some reason or other, she lost that inhibition and she lost that ability to just...stop. Maybe it's helped by the fact that she could seem to be a bit reckless, so neither she nor Cobb were good checks for each other. I think Robert's got that patience/check though. One thing I've always kept in mind is that he's been groomed to take over as his father's heir. I frankly can't see that coming with a whole can of stupid. A little foolish, maybe. But not stupid.

In canon, I can imagine that his cultivation as the heir to Fischer Morrow would have provided more of a conscious awareness of what freedom means and what spoiling yourself silly means.

Good point. I don't quite track the bit after though, I'm sorry :/ This one: A little impulsive maybe, but nothing to extraordinary. That breaks it for me, which is what I did with adding the back story with Browning. Mind...clarifying? Sorry! >_

Thank you! :D

Uh...I was particularly struck by the concentration of this--often when a theme is returned to again and again over the course of a character piece it can become stale, but here the way you treat focus and clarity itself grants focus and clarity to the piece.

Question. Mind if you explain that, please? :D I'm just curious so I know what does what.

Just glad you liked it! This one gave me so much trouble that I was flailing terribly throughout the whole process!

Ah, thanks. That makes sense, lol. Sorry, I think my brain's kind of dead at the moment. It being 0421 hours. That, or that I'm just in denial because GDI, I refuse to believe everything I took from lit class is gone in under a year! >:(

Oh, this is lovely. The structure is perfect and ROBERT OH MY GOD ROBERT. FAVORITE. I love Robert and Saito being business rivals in a tiny bit of love and I love Robert being just faintly ruthless and very clever. Totally excellent.

Thanks! :D I never really liked the portrayals of Robert as uterrly stupid because if he's been groomed to succeed his father, he's probably pretty smart. Just a bit foolish, is all.
