Well, lovely conclusion, and I adored the revelations here on Arthur's part, and the way you twisted canon just slightly to make it fit (or more like filled in the gaps that canon left). <3

I was always rather miffed by how Arthur let Ariadne discourage him from going after Cobb ;)

lol, I'll be frank when I say that I'm usually not the one to support Cobb/Arthur. You're talking to an über Cobb/Fischer and Eames/Arthur fan here. But really, you make it work so well for me here. And obviously for the fic also. XD
To sum it up, I'd like to tell you that this was awesome. Definitely going to be considered one of my favorite Inception fics around here. Why can't we have more stories like this on FanFiction.Net? D:

Actually, I used to support Arthur/Eames, so my friend had to give me a pep talk before I was able to write this. Strangely enough, after this, I'm an Arthur/Cobb shipper >.<
(Okay, technically, I ship just about anyone, so I'm still writing on the Arthur/Eames side of the fence too ;) )

For me this was a sort of reflection of the last episode of Season two of Kuroshitsuji? [SPOILERS if you haven't seen it] That part where Ciel's eyes glowed red, where he and Sebastian left the mansion and the cards that Sebastian delivered to all their friends was revealed to be an invite to Ciel's funeral. The finality of that particular scene and the part where Arthur reveals that the contract had been broken in the event of Mal's death. It for me... It seemed poignant. No? Another thing about this that I liked was that you brought off the comfort scene between Arthur and Cobb very well. it could've gone in so many ways, but the way you wrote it, the words you chose and the image you built in my mind will linger there for more than quite some time.
I haven't read the commentary yet, but I will. I promise.
