NaNo Day 4

Nov 04, 2014 23:08

I admit, I look judgementally at people who have 10k or 20k words by Day 4 of NaNoWriMo and go, "You must have no life." "You must get up really early in the morning ( Read more... )

What a wonderful prof! He's likely looking forward to your input, with fresh eyes on his own work.

*claps* yes it sounds /very/ good. If you can shape such a tale about a dead fandom, fanfiction serves an even better purpose than entertainment.

I wish, but when I submitted the draft, he shot it with more arrows than Achilles had in Troy and then set it on fire. I think it's in a dangerous place right now.

Thanks. I just like to remind myself that it might be ambitious but perhaps worth it :P

At least you made him think 0j0 Gotta keep those profs on their toes, complacency is a bad thing.

I wish that was the case, but it was more of a smackdown on his part. It was tragic, really ;)

Your professor sounds awesome. And your NaNo sounds absolutely amazing. I wish you the best of luck in it.

Heh, thanks. He's an awesome bloke but unfortunately, he's very hard to deal with as he's so brilliant (and I don't have the capacity to handle that.) Good luck with your NaNo too!

You're welcome. And I think you can handle it. I mean, you're pretty brilliant yourself.

And thanks! So far, NaNo's going good. Have a lot of plot points and characters to juggle, but I think I'm doing good.

Thanks--I can only hope so, but it's done and submitted, at least, so that's something!

Good to hear! :) Juggling is always tricky--hang in there!

I don't judge fandom use of NaNoWriMo! I'm in my third year on the same fandom novel.

And yessss I remember having that feeling about people who got up that high in word count during the first few days. I was so jealous of my unschooler friends when I was doing NaNo in high school and had to be in/around school for 8 hours a day, plus homework, while they were home writing. It was better in uni when my lecture hours were shorter and I procrastinated too much. :Þ

Good luck with the paper and all that! :X

Hey Kiwi! Long time no talk--sorry for being so inactive! And thanks for not judging :P I still feel kinda guilty because the fandom is dead, but eh.

IKR? It's better now--I think it's easier to actually finish NaNo when you're in uni, but sheesh! Those word counts! o.O

Thank you very much, and the best of luck with your own NaNo!

Heya! I can't blame you for being inactive. I've been pretty inactive myself, heh. Very spotty attendance at best. :Þ Thankfully I'm consistently crap at judging. What fandom is it?

Thank you! I'm doing pretty all right with NaNo. My system of writing a few hundred words in-between Youtube videos in the evening is working pretty well. I should probably stop writing so late at night though, heh. It's making me nocturnal again.

Oh well, at least we're being sporadic! And thanks for all the HP recs you posted recently--loved 'em and I think I forgot to comment on your post that I enjoyed them. I'm really flaky lately... It's for Inception.

That should do it :P I'm trying not to write late at night either. I'm actually behind for NaNo at the moment, because I'm working on that paper, but I'll catch up soon when I have some time tomorrow!
