Elida saw the GNU mascot (a gnu) on my laptop, and called it a cow, so I went to Google Image-Search to show her some cows and gnus.

And I believe you may be incorrect on both points: in fact there were Labrador retrievers on the Ark, and in accord with God's great plan they are now extinct.
