I finished my first week back to school on Friday. It wasn't too bad.

I changed my major to computer science. I only have three classes this semester but they still add up to full time. Two of them seem fairly easy, but Calculus first thing in the morning after not having any math (and never any Calculus) for about three years is, er...fun. I should be able to do ok in it if I review my algebra & trig stuff and actually spend some time doing the homework/studying...I hope.

I still live on campus. In the same dorm complex as last year even, just a few buildings down, and no more sharing a bathroom with another room. Other than that it's basically the same kind of room.
My roommate is pretty cool. I had a class with him last semester and he knows who Isis and The Red Sparrows are, and liked some of the music I had playing. So, that could be worse. He seems to be about as sociable as I am...which is to say, not very much at all. I plan to work on my social skills though.

The floor that I live on is mostly girls, heh.

Not that I've really talked to anybody on the floor yet.
The week before school my allergies caused me to blow my nose so much that it got raw and I got impetigo. Awesome.
I went to the doctor and got antibiotics the day I moved back to school.
Even if it wasn't that visible, talking to people or doing group work in a class while you have a nice crusty, pus-filled patch on your nose makes you feel really confident...yeah. It's pretty much healed now though, which is good.

My computer (400MHz Grape iMac) finally decided to die, as I suspected it might, because it had been showing signs for a while. It didn't survive the trip to school.
Luckily my sister owns its twin (we got them at the same time) and she doesn't use hers much. So my dad brought it later in the week and a fairly simple swapping of the HD and memory made it at least temporarily my computer agian. It's possible mine could be fixed, but probably not worth it, as it's already pretty old anyway. I think it was something on the built in monitor dying, or possibly related to the power supply. Maybe I can use this as a chance to get a Mac Mini or something though.

On a slightly related note, I stopped using iChat and switched to Adium.
I'm on AIM, Yahoo, MSN, and Google Talk all at the same time, and pretty much always online.
Why? Because I can.
I also updated my user info here to include all of the screen names.

On a radom note, my sister was due to have her baby on Friday and still hasn't yet. So apparenlty I've got a little while until I'm officially an uncle.

So, amongst other things, my computer broke, I'm 21 and I still don't drive yet (dammit.), I'm still mostly broke, and I essentially just started college over (minus having to take a lot of basic stuff, of course), but as of now I feel generally ok about life.

Maybe I'm just retarded.

Here's hoping I can graduate in some reasonable amount of time.
