I always felt bad for Helga because she'd have everything right in her life and then OLGA would come home and fuck everything up for her. Everyone knew she was the pretty sister with better grades and amazing friends and shit and Helga hated that.

I like like you too.

In her own right, though, Helga got everything she wanted. There had to be some competition, there had to be something to tear her down a peg. Then again, I couldn't stand Olga either.

That's a relief. I was starting to get all panicky.

Every time Olga said baby sister, I wanted to smack her in the face with my remote. God, I would even if I knew her in real life. Screw if she's a girl or not. She needs taking down.

Goodness, don't panic.

Yes! That seemed so fake to me, like.. really patronizing. Like Olga knew that she was the daughter setting the example.

I won't, now. I'm just saying I was verging on it.

But she did end up telling him how she felt! In the movie! They never did end up together, though ):

I feel like it came too late, though. And in the movie didn't Helga retract it and say it was just the moment? I don't remember.

I was never really into that show but wow, that's some pretty deep insight. I think a lot of "kids" programming has deeper stuff built into it because even if kids don't get it then, it's instilled in them and when they revisit it it sort of has a bigger impact, you know what I mean? Maybe I'm babbling.

I do know what you mean. I think, since these shows are all created by adults, I think it's better that way. I like how there are all these hidden morals that you only really get afterwards, on top of it being just a really good show in general.

Yeah, definitely. It's cool to see the intertwining of entertainment and real life lessons in seemingly silly little shows.

Plus Hey Arnold is just entertaining as hell. You never see a show about kids that live in a big city, right?
