I know there's a lot of people hating on his American accent, but I LIKE IT. As a non-American, non-Brit, I'm sort of clueless concerning different accents. I can recognise English,

Have to admit though his accent kinda bugs me. As I'm neither American nor British myself I don't really know about all the accents either but I guess I just kinda miss his voice here, it sounds so off. And for me it really doesn't sound all that American but well not sure I really could say that...

I've been hearing from various people that his accent goes from New York to Chicago to well.. Scotland LOL, so that's probably a bit off xD Bless you, David.
But I am biased and I would not have minded hearing this on a weekly basis! :D I agree that it doesn't sound all that American, and I can't really say what it does sound like, but just look at THE PRETTY :D

I AM SO ANGRY AT NBC FOR NOT PICKING THIS SHOW UP. LIKE WHAT. I think is accent is great, since you can hear his Scottish leaking through and THAT JUMP HE DOES OVER THE COUCH EUEIFHELKRJF. I mean, his accent def. isn't all-American, but that's why I love it <3 Like. Dude. If David did an American show so I could have him on my TV all year round...but nooo, NBC never picked it up, so we don't get his amazingness :(:(

And yeah, True Blood's got Southern accents :) Though they're a bit...not right. At least from what I've heard. I'm in middle America, so my accent's pretty plain compared to other places.

Oooo yes, when I first started watching House, I had no idea that Hugh was British. Then I heard an interview with him and was like WHAT. He does an amazing job.

The Scottish slipping through is the beauty of this self-invented accent. xD It's unique and it's cute! I wish there was a way we could see this entire episode! I miss David on my telly :(

I'm Australian, and no great master at picking American accents, but it sounds... weird. Too thick. Everyone loves a Scottish accent, though, so David using his would have been glorious.

Agreed. I'm suffering from David Tennant withdrawal so I am clinging on to this little clip as long as I can xD There is so much pretty in this 1 minute video and even though the accent perhaps isn't quite right, it's a lovely mix of Scottish and other things and what else do we need, really?

But yes, it would definitely have been glorious if he could've used his Scottish accent, arguably the sexiest accent of them all.
