1)  Seriously, why they even let this man use a NON-Scottish accent is beyond me. This once again proofs that.

2) I haven't seen True Blood yet!  So I'm not going to say anything about that xD But I have seen the True Blood comic con panel and since I'm not really participating in that fandom and never watch interviews I DID NOT KNOW STEPHEN MOYER ( Read more... )

doctor who makes my head explode, sherlock, lol eleven, eureka, true blood, battlestar galactica, james callis, david tennant's scottish accent, i wear a fez now

True Blood is awesome. Except that sometimes the Bill/Sookie love scenes are kinda awkward for me b/c Stephen and Anna are a real life couple. So I feel like I'm intruding or something. I've known Stephen was British for a little while but it was really weird the first time I heard him speak in his natural accent. So funny when that stuff happens.

I know how you feel. I did know Stephen and Anna are dating and it does makes me feel slightly uncomfortable watching those scenes. I felt the same way about Chase and Cameron on House when Jesse and Jennifer were dating.

But yes, it was really weird to hear him speak in his natural accent! I've gotten so used to his Southern accent and I was like Wait, what now? You just expect him to be someone and then your expectations are smashed xD. Hugh Laurie took me by suprise as well!

Oddly, I didn't have that problem with House. Maybe because their love scenes weren't near as graphic as Stephen and Anna's are on True Blood.

Lol. I know, its like culture shock or something. I didn't know Hugh Laurie was British for the longest time. It still takes me a second to get used to his natural accent when I hear it.

I KNOW! How could they even think three episodes would be enough! The BBC should've just said "Wellll... why don't we make this a 13-episode season, Moffat! People will love this!" after they had seen the pilot.

I feel like people in high places don't always see the potential in obviously GREAT shows that could've been amazing or are amazing but aren't getting enough episodes.

I knew Moyer was British, but I watched an interview with him and Anna and ASkars a while back and it WAS SO BIZARRE to hear them all have different accents from their characters!

I kind of like that the last two Doctors were not really well known and now they are brilliant.

Yeah, I agree with that! It's such an iconic character that I like not having previous associations with the actors.

I'm not a Dr. Who fan, but for James Callis I'd totally watch it.
