Well Rita is gone now my house is still standing and I am alive. I left my kids in Houma at my mom's house cause we have no power water food supply is very limited. I'm at work now at the hospital where everything is being run off generators. As everyone knows Rita is now in the Gulf and although I am a lot further inland than most I am on the eastern side of this one. I don't know if I should just pack up and leave or ride it out. We finally got a little relief last night at my house. My cousin showed up last night to check on everyone and see how we were all doing. He had 2 cases of beer and some tequila. LIfe after Katrina is a roller coaster of emotions. Everyones spirits are up for the time being. We are all grateful for what we do have. Life will never be the same for any of us.
