I started pediatrics this week. We had 7 children on the ward between 3 RN's and 7 students. My patient went home right after breakfast so I did a whole lot of nothing allll day.

I guess on the one hand it's good that there aren't a lot of people at the hospital, but on the other hand I wish there were more so you could get more experience. Will the upcoming strike affect you at all? Like would they put you to work making beds and whatnot?

Yeah it would have been nice to actually do something, because I really do need to practice my skills.

I don't think the strike will affect me at all. I have no training in how to clean the rooms or anything, so I doubt I would even be allowed to help.
