Cake crust

Did you know that cutting off the edges of your cake not only makes for a more beautiful and tasty cake but provides some very yummy biscotti for the next morning?

I thought biscotti was supposed to be a hard cookie kind of thing. Did you make a cake out of a box? How did you get the crust to harden up? Leave it out? Or did you eat it with all its delectible moistness the next morning? What kind of cake? : )

Regular box cake... I cut the crusts off the cake and then cut the pieces into finger-long lengths... then left them out overnight. They were hard in the morning, though leaving them out another night probably would have made them even better!
