I feel GREAT this monday morning. A very nice change, I must say. I'm wearing the same cute outfit I wore last night to dinner at UNO's (our final attempt to get our French friends to eat something besides a BURGER and SALAD -- to no avail!!!): a black tank and my patterned blue flowered skirt that I've been wearing for like, six years now. funny, I literally JUST read Rob's blog for the first time a few minutes ago and posted a couple of comments... not about the memorials though, which is odd I guess.

I am going to forward you the TNR article. It offers the rationale of the typical American sticker-shock and mistrust of those in charge -- which in turn worries the politicians who are afraid they are going to get voted out if they attempt anything REAL.

Crazy about the firefighters!!!
