this was a woman I found a couple of months ago on a random craigslist search in Bay Ridge for people selling very cheap stuff. She was selling jars of peanut butter for $1 apiece that she got through her WIC checks. I guess this is probably illegal - but she said no one in her house ate peanut butter & she hated to let it go to waste!

Anyway, I didn't have change, so I just gave her $10 for 7 jars -- one of the reasons she wouldn't let me pay this time around...
