New investment into LJ

I have to confess, I have been somewhat neglectant of my LJ these days. Mostly because I dont think many people do bother to read it anymore, which became less and less motivating to spend the time writing long reports etc.. however, I do think its a good way to document some good memories. Therefore, I think IM going to bring it back to life, ( Read more... )

For what it's worth, I still use LiveJournal. I've noticed recently there seems to be an upsurge in its use, both in entries and comments, which I'm glad about because I was getting depressed at its apparently abandonment.

Its worth plenty. I feel like I have neglected some friendships over the years and let them become strained. One tool that was a means of communicating was LJ, albeit if only to give people a window into my life and what was going on.

I will keep using twitter also, but try and keep things focused on LJ, and meaningful.

I never stopped posting on here... I just never manage to think of much to write these days. ;) It's still my number one choice for posting up more indepth content than the likes of Twitter can accommodate.

It also serves as an amazing archive on life when you read back on these things later. I've been on LJ for 7 years now, which has started off from breaking into the world of furries, covered right through university, graduation, 2 relationships, 2 jobs, about 5 house moves... so pretty much all the big events in my life are laid out in this one place!

I agree with you about the archive on life - only thing being is that I think mine, as a freebie original journal from way back in the time, with no adverts, means it only stores for like 3 years. At least that USED to be the case.. I really should delve into it and have a look now.

You sound like you have a rather interesting past :)
