Characters: Neal, Mozzie
I Would Like: There are a ton of post-season-three fics in which Neal is miserable without his friends in New York and comes back, and while I am totally down with that (and it's what I want to see in canon), I would love to read a different take on it -- in which the inner peace that he's found in New York carries him through into a contented life somewhere else. Making a living as an artist somewhere beautiful, for example? I don't mind if the story involves him getting back in touch with Peter et al, or h/c, or whatever -- mostly I'm just looking for something in which, despite not wanting to leave, he ends up finding happiness where he is.
