I'd don't have the energy to run the exchange either, especially as I've never run one before. I hope someone is able to step up to run one, though I could only participate in an artwork form atm.
Yeah, I think it'd be a good thing if it happens, but I'm definitely not able to make it happen myself (as my endless absence proves, I guess!). Anyway, even if it doesn't happen now, that doesn't mean it might not happen at some future point if I fall back into the show and/or someone else comes along with a burning desire to run an exchange. :D
Well, I wouldn't mind running it, but I have never done one. Maybe with someone who has more experience. If there is nobody available, let's do an exchange.
Yay! Thank you! If no one else steps up, it's all yours if you still want it at that time. (Let's give it a couple of weeks.) I've run a couple of exchanges through AO3 and it's not too bad, though for a very small exchange, it might be easier to hand-match people.
Anyway, if you get to a point where you're going to do it, I can offer advice if you need any. I'm just definitely not at a point where I can actually run or even co-run an exchange right now.
sapphire2309 said she would be interested in either modding or co-modding, so maybe you could do it together, or one of you could be the main mod and the other could be backup. Either way, it sounds like the exchange is a go. \o/
I have absolutely no idea how to run an exhange - and I don't even have a user @ LJ, but I'm a regular user of this journal, and I'm thrilled to see you back, Sholio, and that there are still people here. I feared that it had died completely just like CollarKink did. Especially since Hurt/Comfort is also almost dead. The only places still alive for real in the fan fiction world of White Collar are AO3 and FanFiction net. I'd be sad to see CollarCorner die, too. The show deserves to be kept alive among us writers and readers :-)
I know we have a few regularly commenting anons around here, and I'm glad you guys are still here. :) Yeah, I guess the problem is, people wander off to other fandoms, and that's definitely happened to me. But I'd really like to see this community keep going! Like you said, the show deserves it. :D
I'm... reasonably confident in my ability to run an exchange? I've never done it before, so I foresee needing advice on how to hand-match people, but other than that, I know what I expect out of an exchange, and am reasonably confident in my ability to provide that.
I may not participate if I run it - I'm also hoping to get to work on a v old verse in November with the help of NaNoWriMo, but I have no other commitments for November, and a decent bit of vacation, so that leaves me with a decent amount of time to do interesting background admin stuff!
And I would be delighted to co-run with nywcgirl, if she's willing to have me :D
(i know this is usually my sad!icon, but in this context it could be pensive?)
If you two are okay with co-modding, that sounds like it might be perfect. You could either work on it together, or one of you could take the main role and the other could step in as a backup if necessary.
I'm happy to help out with advice and such. I've run a few exchanges, both on AO3 and off (and whichever you want to do is obviously fine).
Sounds good! (And ha, yeah, my flailing just last year when I was trying to figure out how to run SSR Confidential through AO3 was ... epic. XD) I'll get an email from nywcgirl and then do a group email to both of you with some basic exchange stuff and you two can work things out from there. :D

If not, then a prompt round sounds good.
