Day 24

Jul 24, 2011 14:10

I haven't quite decided on this one yet, so I'm going to list some out here and hope the answer becomes clearer by the time I'm done.

Among the top contenders:
Sailor Moon & Tuxedo Mask, Sailor Moon R movie: The love of your life (and your life before your life) has just snuffed out her own soul, but lucky for you, true love and freaky flower nectar ( Read more... )

meme, anime

Hmm, there are two that I enjoy, for vastly different reasons:

From Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iUFNN46XeWw - the first real kiss from that show, so sweet

From Haruhi:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hz5Att7BLFU - potentially the most epic kiss ever

There are others, but I think those two are still my favorites.

I kind of have to admit that I just like that part because it totally cracks up when Kyon says he thinks ponytails are sexy. LOL

Hmm, I don't know if I have an answer for this one. I'd like to say Hime-chan no Ribbon, but the anime just completely wrecked the end of that series, so I don't think there was a kiss. I thought of Nodame Cantabile, but the scene I really love is just a hug, not a kiss. I love the Love Con scene you mention, but I've never seen the anime, so it's hard to count that.

I guess I would go with the Yukina/Kisa kiss, just because it's so pretty.

(It's a good thing this meme isn't manga, because I have no idea how I would pick one kiss from a thousand volumes of BL manga.)

Do you mean the sketchbook one? (the updated icons for which I still haven't posted...)

but the scene I really love is just a hug
I actually like the hug in that junjo scene a lot (more?) too. The kiss, I thought, is mostly memorable because Hiro initiates it. I might have given the win to Love Com if pressed on the "serious" answers but it's not like it's the bets kiss in kissdom ever, either.

Awww...Sailor Moon kiss.

Not surprisingly, I've got nothing. I have a favorite live action movie kiss (in a movie I don't like...surprise!), but I can't think of an anime doki-doki kiss. I thought about hunting through my HanaDan tapes to see if anything moved me, then I decided if I had to go hunting, it didn't count.

(Unlike day-and-time, I would love to see this as a manga question. So many kisses to choose from.)

Hmm, interesting; I sort of see the hunting as part of the fun/purpose in doing these memes. If I'd have picked only things that came immediately to mind or mined only the shows I remembered *really well* (please understand my memory for this stuff now is CRAP), I'd have had a very boring meme full of the same 4-5 shows and probably lots of non-answers. Part of why I've had no time for anything else this month is how much time I've spent on this meme as a whole, and even then, all for the sake of having conversation here.

Oh, wow. I play memes weakly, I guess. The most I did for the manga meme was look at my bookshelves (which may have inspired reading, but I didn't read FOR the meme, I read because of it). And I don't even have to look at my DVD shelves for this meme, since I already know the 20 or so anime titles I own. Though I do think this is why I like to wait until other people have answered, since each answer sparks more memories for me to sort through.

I would love to see this as a manga question.

Can I issue this as a challenge, then?

Favorite kiss scene: Keiko and Yuusuke from the beginning of Yuu Yuu Hakusho. Her kiss REVIVES THE DEAD, how much better does it get?

Runner up: When Yuu kisses Miki in the infirmary in Marmalade Boy. Little did I know at the time what drama would ensue.

Okay, your kiss wins (plus his hair was down, yay!).

No kidding, he looked so much better with his hair down...

His hair being down is TOTALLY a bonus.
