Day 27

Jul 27, 2011 09:12

Turns out, I was pretty screwed on this question. I’ll skip delving into an originally much-longer exposition on the topic (plenty of debate on the definition of filler, shoujo anime, my personal failings as a critical viewer, and the fact I rarely know what IS filler thanks to the lack of proper source materials in English), and just say that my ( Read more... )

FWIW, all three posts are showing up at the top of my f'list, and even though my friends list is very small and rather quiet, there were posts yesterday and the day before. So I don't think any hunting will be required.

I have no answer for 25 and 27, but I will spend the entire day thinking about 26. And then probably answer KKM.

is trying to post this comment even worthwhile? collarnojutsu July 27 2011, 14:21:41 UTC

Meanwhile, I am completely unable to view F-list, comments, or anything under my own cuts (even though I can read my journal) anymore.

I bet there is an answer for today's question in KKM, no? ;)

Can't get scrapbook to do crap for me right now (of course), so maybe I'll come back later with an actual picture. Anyway, I don't really have a big enough sample size to have a real answer, so I'll mention Blue Exorcist episode 6 (the demon chef one), because everyone seemed to hate it for being filler, but I thought it was hilarious and one of my favorite episodes until the cat one. (A cat! Who's LOYAL. OMG)

I don't have an answer at all for 25 or 26, because I'm not really into Cosplay (though I love to admire others who are) and I don't really rewatch anime that much.

... your newly acquired amounts of DVDs will hopefully change that, yes?

I still haven't started Blue Exorcist for all my talk about doing so. Guh, time.

OK, will attempt this via e-mail...

Doubtful. It's not like I didn't have DVDs before, I just don't rewatch stuff that often (maybe because when I do it tends to lead to a marathon.) I am much more likely to reach for a manga or book. Not that I think I have any specific "comfort" reading, either. I reread stuff a lot, but I tend to go like, "Hmm, what haven't I read in while?" rather than go for one (or two or whatever) specific title.

Interesting; I buy things TO re-watch(or read, or play, etc)! I cannot tell you how many times I have watched Easy A since Friday.

I think I might be able to post this, finally^^

I don't really have a good picture of it, but maybe this clip will do instead?

In general, the Naruto filler was nauseating, and in fact, the idea behind this arc was, ugh - but! It had Hinata kicking ass and being awesome, so all else is forgiven.

My answer for this one is Hunter × Hunter episode #20, in which the Hunter exam candidates must work together to save themselves from a huge storm. The teamwork aspect is great, of course. However, the best part is when Kurapica thinks that Leorio is dead, and he nearly collapses in shock. I believe it's the first time we get real evidence that Kurapica cares about him.
