My 30th birthday was on May 23rd. I am now 30 years OLD. I had a nice birthday; on Saturday I had a birthday party, with lots of friends, food, and puppies. It was low-key, just as I wished. Thank you all who attended ( Read more... )

I'm glad you got to go to the Dali museum and enjoyed it so much! (It's the only thing in Florida that I like!) Did you also get a bumper sticker that says, "The only difference between myself and a madman is that I am not mad"? I love that quote.

I should have got that bumper sticker, but I did not. Maybe because I AM mad, and I don't want to lie about it. hehe.

I still haven't decided the form in which to spend you and P's generous birthday gift. I go to Amazon.com at least once a day, thinking about it. hehehe.

Spend it on something that you've not been buying because you feel you can't justify it.

Or save it til another holiday when you think you'll get another one and buy something really schmancy!

Are you going to get your iPod fixed? It doesn't seem like it lasted very long.

It cost so much to get fixed, I'm not sure it's worth it. I got it for Christmas 2004. We sent it back once in March and once again in June. It's not under warranty. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with it.

I would not be the ideal spokesman for iPod. I was really surprised Jay got me another one, but he said he read reviews and since the Shuffle has no moving parts, it's less prone to failure. So far, so good. It seems to have a pretty good battery life, too.

I'm so glad that you had a fantastic birthday. Too much time on my hands yesterday, and I came across your blog from Anne Achico's posted blogs. Sounds like Florida was fantastic, and at least you missed the coming hurricanes.

Gerrit is a huge proponent of the Ipod Shuffel! My brother and S-I-L actually got us one as a wedding gift with all the music that was played at the wedding and reception loaded on it (Zach was our DJ). Gerrit then got another one for his birthday that year, so we exchanged it for an Ipod Mini, and Gerrit chose to keep the Shuffle and I have the mini because he likes it so much more! And it does have an incredible batterly life!!!!
